SHAPE establishes indigenous cadetship

19 July 2011

SHAPE has formed a partnership with AFL Northern Territory (AFLNT) and created a new cadetship program for indigenous young people.
The program, which began in March, selects the most outstanding member of the AFLNT’S NT Thunder program and offers them full time employment with SHAPE.
Nyaburu ‘Narby’ Kelly, who is in his early twenties, is the first to receive the cadetship and started full time work with SHAPE earlier this year. He will have the opportunity to learn about SHAPE from scratch with long term career potential in any of our offices around Australia.
Tony Frawley, CEO of AFLNT is excited by the partnership stating “There are many schemes around Aboriginal assistance, but none of them are as streamlined as this one. The SHAPE cadetship allows for a long-term occupation, rather than a temporary one, plus provides deep, personal fulfilment.”
Congratulations Narby on being the first to receive this cadetship.
