Cherry Bar

Cherry on top of an ongoing relationship

SHAPE  was appointed to undertake the Cherry Bar Project within the staged Refurbishment of The Star Main Gaming Floor (MGF). The MGF is being refurbished, and central to the new casino entry is the Cherry Bar, an elliptical cocktail lounge with luxury finishes.

In order to deliver a successful project, SHAPE  had to consider the minimising disruption to the casino operations and patrons from dust, noise and vibration. It was vital that SHAPE  implemented a strict notification process for any services shutdown or other disruption. Construction zones were also set up to fully exclude the works from patrons, and hoardings were installed quickly to minimise the impact on business.

The result is a stunning bar with high level finishes including stone, joinery and stainless steel with stacked and tiered elliptical island back bar created from custom moulded resin panels.

This project was awarded the 2011 MBA Excellence in Construction Award for Interior fitouts between $3-5 million.
